Today we wanted to explore Little India.
The settlement with its ancient temples is noisy, covenant and varied.
Countless stalls and stores with fret painted walls and street art, occasionally a colorful temple covered with figures.
It is amazing that so many jewelers can stay in one district.
Since I haven't been to India, I can't compare it directly, but this is how I imagine it.
It's very beautiful, but combined with the headache I have, it can be quite exhausting among so many people.
So, onwards to Orchard Road on foot.
It's a shopping street that was recommended to us and is about 3 kilometers away.
On the way there, we hear drums 🥁 coming from a side street.
In front of a Chinese restaurant, there's a parade float. The drummers are standing in front of the house and making noise.
Inside the cafe, a procession is forming to celebrate the new lunar year.
Orchard Road is a highly westernized shopping street with several malls and even more stores.
From Decathlon to Louis Vuitton, you can find everything, including a Swiss bakery.
Because who doesn't know the Swiss Alpine Bakers.
